Implementation Specialist, Nebraska
As an Implementation Specialist, Royonna’s role is critical in supporting our organization's efforts to develop and execute projects that enhance all of our clients’ understanding of inclusive education. What she enjoys most about this position is being able to work with a diverse team of collaborators who are as deeply passionate about creating equitable solutions and successful outcomes in special education.
Prior to joining SPED Strategies, Royonna had a distinguished career spanning over 15 years as a science educator and coach. During this time, she implemented a wide variety of strategies for achieving academic and personal success for thousands of students. She prides herself on fostering holistic learning environments that explore how the intersectionality of our shared experiences can empower and liberate.
As a recipient of the Alice Buffett Outstanding Teacher Award, Royonna brings a proven track record of excellence in education. Holding M.S. degrees in Biology and Secondary Education along with a K-12 ESL endorsement, she is well-equipped to support diverse populations. Her unique background includes curriculum development, managing service-learning projects, and building external partnerships. As a curriculum writer, she had the opportunity to develop NGSS-aligned lessons and assessments for K-12 students at the district and state level and is eager to continue improving systems of pedagogy.
